Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has a family,
Nobody who lives for their care,
Nobody who wants them around,
Nobody who helps them through life,
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has friends,
Not a person there for a simple hug,
Not a person existing for a reassuring look,
Not a person around to leave the words,
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has a home,
No place to live and feel happy in so,
No place to live without leaving again,
No place to live to avoid the truth,
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has a love,
Nothing there to hold them in warm arms,
Nothing there for a kiss to remember,
Nothing there to be a greatness in life,
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has a someone,
"Don't do it - for your family
They mean nothing to me anymore,
"Don't do it - for your friends"
Friends? What friends? They don't exist,
"Don't do it - what about home"
Heaven's clouds are softer than streets,
"Don't do it - what about your lover"
A lover? Nobody would love scars like these,
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Not everyone has a reason to live.
Not everyone can find a someone.
Suicide is not a stereotype.
Some find a reasons, but it's not enough.
Some find a someone, but it's not enough.
Suicide is not a stereotype.
When a dead straight, red line
Seems like the best answer to us,
Many will listen, many will not -
Suicide is not a stereotype.
But just because there's times
People don't want Earth any longer:
That gives no soul a single right
To treat them, to treat us,
All the same - as if suicide
Is an action quite the same
In every life ever lived short.
Suicide is not a stereotype.

Literature
Corpse
Cold and lifeless
Of color devoided
Rotting in the dirt
Parting ways with the living
Soul long gone
Embrace our sad destiny
Literature
Loser
Trying once
Twice
Again
And again
Failing once
Twice
Again
And again
Feeling
Like crap
Useless
Powerless
Weak
Screaming
And crying
In frustration
Feeling like
A fucking loser...
Literature
Broken
Better off dead because I am
Rotten to the core and
Observing with blind eyes, looking for a
Key to escape this madness I can't
Embrace until I realize there is
Nothing I can do anymore....

I currently have another poem in the revising works. The idea of this primarily inspired by some damn kid's rotten comment: "It's suicide. They all want to die because their life sucks".
I had shot up from my seat and was so freaking close to snapping that I had to walk out of the room and just didn't return.

Stereotypical Suicide Personal FeedbackEveryday the favorites number keeps rising. I've stayed up late past the many nights simply thinking about it all... Not so much the popularity of the poem itself, but what that means. That just maybe the realization is being made.
When I walked out of that classroom, the words for this poem began bubbling in my mind as I locked myself in the bathroom the rest of the time. Little things inspired me... A special set of tally marks, a number of deviants who probably know who they likely are, and even some songs such as "How To Save A Life". And I began realizing that at one point, I was kind of like that kid... Not quite as snarky and rude, but that idea. That it's "just suicide".
I learned over time that it's not simply "just suicide". That's where the stereotype begins. Where we begin to meet more and more people who are dangers to themselves, and we use the same words over and over. It's as if the same situation causes it. It's like we think they're just blind-minded people who refuse

Here is your critique by Michel-le-fou:
The foremost and mpost eye-grabbing detail is the repitition of "suicide is not a stereotype". I have yet to undserstand who misperceived it that way. But the emphasis in your tone was well-conceived. The errant should read this. After each repition, you have done well indeed to explain in thoise terms. There is surely an errant mind to whom you addressed this poem. Now about the conclusion: It was really engrossing, since you went to lengths to empahise the point and then this stanza with its different content. This would fare well as a debate issue/ Well-conceived altogether.
